Scarf Stories: Real People, Real Collections - Introducing Olga

Olga was born in Odessa, Ukraine, but her life has taken her across continents — from Moscow to Marbella, Bristol, London, and now Berlin. Having moved six times and speaking five languages, she often says, “My home is the world — I feel very international.

Perhaps because of this constant movement, Olga has always been drawn to beauty — “I needed to have beautiful things around me wherever I was, she reflects. That desire for beauty has remained a constant thread through her life, leading her to discover a deep and personal love for Hermès scarves.

Her story with the carré began when her best friend gave her two Hermès scarves for her 30th birthday: a moment that coincided with the birth of her second son in Marbella.“I guess I wasn’t ready at 30, she admits,“but I ripened to wear them at 40. When she later stumbled upon Tulipomanie in Berlin, it sparked a true passion.“I saw it — the most beautiful scarf I had ever seen. I had to have it.

Each scarf now marks a chapter of Olga’s life — Tulipomanie with its joyful bloom, Sur mon Nuage that she dreamed of for months before finally finding, Émile et La Nuit that, as she says,“took my breath away. They have accompanied her through her journeys and transformations, especially after the birth of her daughter.“They’ve helped me not to succumb to postpartum depression, she shares. “I would dress up, put on a scarf or a twilly, take my baby, and go for a proud stroll.

Olga doesn’t collect scarves as investments; for her, it’s about connection and joy. "I don't collect scarves to guess their future value — I buy the ones that light up my face and my eyes". Each piece is an act of self-expression — wearable art that brings her happiness. “Then you can wear plain clothes and still look elegant and beautiful."

To Olga, Hermès scarves are more than accessories.“It’s pure art to be able to turn a scarf into a cult item for generations, she says. Her collection tells the story of her life, rich in movement, meaning, and beauty: a celebration of elegance, resilience, and the quiet power of feeling wonderful in one’s own skin.
